Europen Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)
Understanding what the EU deforestation rules mean for your shipments.
The European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) is part of the European Green Deal aimed to minimize the EU contribution to global deforestation, forest degradation and reduce the EU contribution to greenhouse gas emissions and global biodiversity loss.
Full operational implementation and enforcement of the deforestation regulations will apply as follows:

30 December 2025: medium and large enterprises

30 June 2026: micro and small enterprises
Relevant commodities (cattle, wood, cocoa, soy, palm oil, coffee, rubber) and their derived products placed or made available to the EU market or exported from the EU to Rest of World must fulfill all of the following conditions:

Products must be Deforestation-free.

Products are produced in accordance with the relevant legislation of the country of production (which includes not only compliance with environmental regulations, but also those related to land-use rights, forest management, labor, tax and /or human rights laws).

Products must be covered by a Due Diligence Statement (DDS) to be submitted via the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) Information System in advance.
