Customs Preparation
Temporary Import Export	Do you need to ship something, but need it returned to you? Show More Show Less When requested by the shipper or importer, DHL prepares the merchandise or goods for their temporary export and later import. Raw or semi-finished materials can be imported into a Customs’ approved Export Processing Zone or Free Trade Zone for value adding activities, providing the finished goods are subsequently exported. Export Declaration	Sometimes a shipment needs one more document. Show More Show Less Applies in countries where an export declaration is required for shipments containing controlled commodities or exceeding a certain value threshold or weight. Bonded Transit	Will the package need to be transferred under bond? Show More Show Less A bonded shipment occurs when DHL is requested to move non-document foreign-origin goods to a location other than the regular DHL gateway at destination. Bonded Transit is normally operated within a country or customs union, and is necessary prior to final clearance by the importer or designated broker. Bonded Transit applies to both export and import shipments whenever DHL is required to open, manage or report any form of transfer under bond using our own guarantee.	Per Shipment	€40.00
Multiline Entry	We can list all the goods on the invoice for processing. Show More Show Less A service charge will be assessed for multiline item entries with more than five lines. An example would be – one shipment with multiple products or multiple invoices. All products require identification and must be classified under separate harmonized tariff numbers. Clearance Authorization	We can intercept a shipment before customs begins their review. Charges to be applied against any import where DHL is required to intercept the inbound process and contact an importer where there is no indication on the shipment paperwork or regulatory requirements to do so. Preferential Origin	DHL can prepare common documents required for customs clearance. Show More Show Less At Shipper’s request, the preparation or provision of a Certificate of Origin or other similar forms by DHL to certify the goods in a particular export shipment have been produced, manufactured or processed in a particular country allowing preferential rates of duty to be claimed at destination. Customs Process
Formal Clearance	High-value thresholds vary from country to country. Bonded Storage	Get the fastest clearance with accurate details. Show More Show Less Storage charges apply when the shipment cannot be released by customs due to inaccurate or missing paperwork. Charges take effect three calendar days after the freight arrival date or broker notification, whichever is later. The charge applies to the duty and taxes payer. Permits and Licenses	We facilitate the license filing process. Show More Show Less To accelerate import of selected controlled commodities, such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, computer monitors, laser CD players, cosmetics, eyeglasses, food and food products, DHL is required to file specific information in order to obtain the required import permits or licenses. Customs Support
Disbursement	Expedite clearance when DHL pays duties and taxes! Show More Show Less At the receiver’s request, DHL credit or cash is used to fund the clearance, duty and tax charges relating to a shipment or piece, instead of the receiver using their own bond or credit line. The customs process is accelerated, with DHL making prompt payment of relevant charges while the receiver defers payment until an agreed date.	Per Shipment	20 AUD or 3% of the amount advanced

Broker Notification	We can seamlessly include your broker in our process. Show More Show Less At the customer’s request, DHL will provide the necessary paperwork to the customer’s designated broker to perform the import clearance and resume the delivery to the final destination once the clearance is completed. DHL is subsequently not responsible for the timeliness of the submission to customs or for the release of the shipment.	Per Shipment	15 AUD
Release to Broker	Your broker can take responsibility for the shipment. Other Government Agency	We can get government issued documents for you. Goods such as foods, animal products, plants, seeds, pharmaceuticals although accepted for transportation by DHL Express require by Law a Health, Veterinary and/or Phytosanitary control, sometimes including an original regulatory certificate or permit issued by the competent authority in the origin/manufacturing country.
