Packages from Bangladesh to India are subject to the following import restrictions imposed by the Indian government

Prohibited Goods:

  • All HS Codes of Ready-Made Garments (RMG)
  • Fruit/Fruit-Flavored and Carbonated Drinks
  • Processed Food Items (baked goods, snacks, confectionery)
  • Cotton & Cotton Yarn Waste
  • Plastic and PVC Finished Goods (except pigments, dyes, plasticisers, granules used as industrial inputs)
  • Wooden Furniture

Permitted Entry Ports:

  • Only Nhava Sheva (Mumbai) and Kolkata Seaports are allowed for these goods.
  • Entry via airports or land ports (including courier/express mode) is not allowed.

Shipments not complying with these restrictions will be refused clearance by Indian Customs.

Avoid sending India-bound shipments in the restricted categories via Air Express until further notice.
