DHL Express does not accept international shipments of Controlled Military Items subject to export controls.

This suspension does not include domestic shipments of Controlled Military Items or international shipments of licensed dual-use items.

If you are uncertain whether your shipment contains military items subject to export controls, please contact your national licensing authority (and/or the licensing authority in the country of origin and destination of the military items) to verify.

  • Customs Clearance, Customers with DHL Brokerage Account: CAD 11.85 or 2.5% of the duties & taxes, if higher
  • Customs Clearance, Customers without DHL Brokerage Account: CAD 17.50 or 2.5% of the duties & taxes, if higher

DHL has been alerted of the unauthorized use of its business name in SMS messages asking receivers to download an application with the extension '.apk'. We encourage you to let us know at your earliest convenience by sending a screenshot of the suspicious SMS to phishing-dpdhl@dhl.com, include the suspicious phone number in the message. After reporting the fraudulent message, please delete it and under no circumstance should you download the application.

If you are expecting any shipments with duties and taxes owing, you would have received a text message or an email from us. To ensure a smooth delivery, please make your payment online at On Demand Delivery. Alternatively you can pay using our Payment Self Service line at 1-866-768-7801.
