Customs Regulations
As your official Express Partner, we would like to bring to your kind attention that all Commercial Shipments (Non Documents) are subject to examination by Qatar Customs Authorities prior to clearance.
In response to our customers queries, we would like to clarify that as per Part 6, Chapter 1 of the Customs Law, Article (46*): “When clearing any goods, even if exempted from customs duties, a detailed customs declaration, as in the approved forms shall be submitted to the customs office containing all the information that enable in application of the customs regulation and levying applicable customs duties and for the purposes of statistics”.
Customs duty & legalization fee are levied on all commercial shipments (Non Documents) imported into Qatar irrespective of declared value of shipment. Therefore, please note that based on inspection by Qatar Customs for all your shipments, it will be your company responsibility to reimburse DHL Express Qatar for the following costs at time of shipment delivery:

Qatar General Customs Authority has implemented an increase in customs clearance service charges and fees based on the new Law No. (9) for 2017 issued by H.E Minster of Finance on 30th March 2017.
The new law will be replacing law number (20) of 2014.
Consequently, the Qatar General Customs Authority have increased various charges, including but not limited to the Bayan fee, handling fee, Request for Reconciliation (RFR) and manifest filing.
With these new charges coming into effect, extra admin work which will go towards the clearance and therefore we are forced to increase our minimum Clearance / Disbursement Fee charge effective the 20th of April, 2017.

Bayan (Bill of Entry) Fee: QAR 20/- for personal shipment and QAR 150/- commercial shipments by Air & QAR 150/- for all commercial shipment and personal shipment by road

Line items in the Bayan above 5 will be charged QAR 10 per line item

Clearance Administration Fee: 2% of sum of Duty + Legalization + Bayan fee or QAR 120 for commercial shipment or QAR 30 for personal shipment whichever is higher
