We work with a third party declaration service to obtain Export Accompany Documents (EAD) and Master Reference Numbers (MRN) for shipments from Germany to outside the EU. Shippers can advantage of this helpful service by authorizing DHL Express to do this on your behalf. Simply email the completed authorization form to: AES-Service.de@dhl.com.

Once you’ve authorized DHL, you can request an EAD and MRN for every shipment you create in MyDHL+!

You will need a waybill number for each shipment to obtain an EAD and MRN. Just follow these steps:

1. Get the waybill number

• Save the shipment in MyDHL+
• Go to Manage Shipments and find the waybill number associated with your shipment
• If you do not receive a waybill number when saving the shipment, call 0228 902435-17 (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

2. Get the EAD and MRN

• Email the completed export declaration form to: AES-Service.de@dhl.com
• EADs will usually be sent on the next working day for requests received Monday-Friday by 12 noon

3. Add the MRN and finish your shipment

• Go to Manage Shipments and access your shipment
• Enter the MRN
• Complete your shipment
