Import/Export Declaration Surcharge

Due to the enforcement of the relevant requirements on import and/or export declarations pursuant to Article 10 of the Foreign Trade Law (Law No. 7/2003 of the Macao Special Administrative Region), it’s mandatory for all Inbound/Outbound shipments value over MOP5000 to have Customs Declaration readily available prior to shipment’s arrival/departure to Macao. Failure to do so may result in shipment confiscation by relevant authority with further charges and/or fines to be borne by consignee.

  • DHL Express Macao can provide customs declaration services with relevant charges may apply.
  • If customer opted to provide his/her own customs declaration form, it must be accurately submitted 1 working day before 12:00 prior to the shipment entering into Macao. For export declaration form, courier will collect it together with the shipment and relevant documents.
  • If customer opted to have customs declaration service to be provided by DHL Express Macao, Customs Invoice or Packing list with accurate item description (with HS code), quantity, weight, country of origin and value must be submitted 1 working day before 14:00 prior to the shipment entering into or leaving Macao (as the case may be). As per DHL’s Terms & Conditions of Carriage, all information provided by shipper or its representatives shall be complete and accurate, failing which shipper shall indemnify DHL for any loss or damage arising thereof.

The Declaration Service activation date was launched last September 15th, 2020, please ensure all requirements mentioned are completed for shipments over MOP5000 in/out Macau to avoid serious customs/service complications.
